ABOUT OUR COMPANY
XY was born to help local entrepreneurs create and deliver extraordinary online services. XY incubates and invests in startups by providing deep operational support and funding. We build companies from scratch in emerging niches by using proven business processes and leveraging our extensive business network.

We operate by developing batch programs that last under three months. Our main program is the XY Accelerator that happens twice per year (winter and summer). The companies that are accepted in the program receive funding of 10.000 USD in exchange for 10% equity, mentorship, office space and introductions to prospective clients and partners.

Other programs & events that are operated by XY are:
1. Pre-Accelerator (Six weeks mentorship program that helps the applicants to find and test an innovative business idea, launch their product/service to the market, get initial feedback from the market and create an investment presentation (pitch deck) to attract subsequent angel funding.
2. TechVillage (Three day event for startups and investors that are tired of the conventional. It’s for those that are looking to interact and build lasting business connections in a new setting.)
3. Youth Startup Program (Three months program that aims to support pupils and first year students to create their first businesses).

In order to scale up our organisation, we are looking to extend our team with two new team members: Communications Lead and Operations Manager.

Communications Manager - About this role and why it's critical:
We want XY to be the most highly recommended acceleration program among early stage entrepreneurs in the Eastern Europe. We are still in the process of establishing the content strategy and how our brand will develop in the next few years. We're looking for someone who knows what needs to be done and is willing to implement it alongside our team. You will be responsible for helping create and execute a communication and promotion strategy for a dozen programs that will give birth to hundreds of companies.

We see content, marketing and press as critical parts of influencing our direction as a company. We're not only supporting the current portfolio startups, but also building early processes to support the next 1,000 companies.

What will you be working on:
- Work to build and execute a top-notch communication strategy that aligns with overarching business and brand objectives;
- Create content that promotes our programs (smm, ads, mailings, videos, blog posts, etc.)
- Work closely with our team and the creative agency on our visuals;
- Manage social content calendar for all organisation and brand social media channels inclusive of but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Instagram, and LinkedIn;
- Craft, edit, publish and share engaging and personality-forward brand stories, articles, videos daily across multiple social media channels;
- Manage and grow online community across all channels;
- Write and conceptualize high-quality blog articles;
- Understand and predict social media trends to keep XY relevant;
- Establish KPIs, analyze results of marketing campaigns, and present findings to team;
- Assist in designing customer journey and optimizing conversion funnel;
- Assist in building and monitoring results in CRM and retargeting infrastructure.
What you bring to the team
- 3+ years of professional communication/marketing experience preferably in the services industry;
- Focus on acquisition, activation and retention strategies;
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to analyze performance data and to apply that analysis to optimize campaigns strategy and drive decision making;
- Capability to identify, design, test and deploy innovative communication methodologies;
- Proven track record of managing marketing activities and communication campaigns;
- Operational knowledge and experience of diverse tools / solutions to accelerate audience growth and conversion;
- You were born a writer, yet decided work in business;
- Expressive and tasteful social media content portfolio with an understanding of and experience in: branding, layout, colors, and typography in digital media;
- Mastery of a wide range of social media production tools, techniques, and approaches - especially video;
- Self-driven. You have fantastic organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks;
- You don’t get overwhelmed easily;
- Naturally curious. You’re innovative, extremely creative and constantly looking for ways to tweak and optimize;
- English/Romanian/Russian languages are required.
